People Are Talking: UMS presents The Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis at Hill Auditorium:
One of Wynton’s great strenghts is putting together a spectacular ensemble, and I think his willingness to showcase all his players proves this. It’s not all about him, and brovo to him for that.
The music was often quite good, but the very limited play by Wynton Marsalis was disappointing. I expected the headliner to play more.

People Are Talking: UMS presents The Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis at Hill Auditorium:
This is always one of the highlights of the season, and last night was no exception. The highlight of this year’s highlight was definitely “Itsy Bitsy Spider”.
People Are Talking [and Video Booth]: Einstein on the Beach at Power Center:
We are so lucky to have UMS and Ken Fischer who bring in such magnificent productions as “Einstein on the Beach” (along with all the rest of the season). Kudos to all the tech people involved in Einstein – what a feat!
