The Britten was brilliant and compelling, obviously PW's passion. I agree with Guest that the Bach was uninspired. I loved the light touch but could not hear the dance rhythms nor the shaping and forward thrust of the piece, especially the d minor. At one point I thought angrily, "Don't make Bach boring"–a danger despite Bach's inherent interest.
